Board of Directors and Operational Changes at DCCO effective June 20th

Board President, Marty Thomas, has stepped down after four years in the position and the board has voted in a new President.  Joseph Friday, formally Vice President, is now the new President of DCCO and Board Member Jamy Mendez has been voted in as the new Vice President.  Marty has been appointed by the board as the new Executive Director of DCCO and will oversee the operations of the two facilities, the Home of Hope and Hope's House, along with other administrative duties.  Please welcome these folks to their new positions and pray for them as we grow and serve ...

DCCO – Facilities for the Homeless

DCCO (Dorchester County Community Outreach) currently operates only two facilities in town.  The Home of Hope (a  men's homeless shelter) and Hope's House (a woman's shelter to open very soon).  There are several other facilities that house guests with differing needs and backgrounds in our community.  One in particular is a boarding house located in the Knightsville area for former prisoners recently released from prison.  Their guests pay to stay at that facility.  This facility IS NOT AFFILIATED with DCCO in any way shape or form nor related to any of our current facilities.  The Home of Hope is located ...
