• In June of 2019, we successfully finished the renovations of 700 Central Ave, Hope's House. This will serve as our newest facility, a safe place for women who are experiencing homelessness. At the end of 2019, Hope's House had already assisted over 25 women with a safe, welcoming, supportive place to live.

DCCO purchased the property in 2018, understanding there were many improvements that needed to be completed to comply with the town building codes and to safely house the eight women who would call this their home in their time of crisis. The safety of our guests will always be one of the highest priorities for us.

To make sure the home had a welcoming feel many improvements were made. Some of the improvements and updating to the property included; fencing in the entire area, bringing entry and exits up to code, installing egress windows, remodeling the kitchen, adding storage space, installing a new 200 Amp Electric service, new light fixtures, the addition of an office, new doors, new moisture control system in the crawl space, installing security and camera systems, and adding a second shower in the home.

We are very blessed that the majority of all the renovations and labor were donated by our generous community, we have always felt God's blessing through the kindness and support of our community.

Hope’s House uses the same relationship model that has proven effective at Home of Hope since 2015. All guests are “met where they are” and as long as they continue to work towards their goal of self-sufficiency they can remain with us as a guest. We receive constant calls for a spot in one of the 8 openings at Hope's House and stay at full capacity most of the year.

We are so thankful for the community support and the blessings that God has provided us to be able to serve those in our community experiencing homelessness.
